Fugro and Forland strike deal over vessel termination

E Forland subsidiary Forland Subsea II and Fugro Subsea have agreed terms for the termination of the charter of subsea vessel Fugro Saltire.

The ROV vessel has been under a long-term contract with Fugro Subsea Services since it was delivered in 2008, but in August Fugro served a notice of termination effective October 1, 2017.

Forland says that it will receive compensation in cash as well as ownership to certain fixed equipment on the vessel.

Åge Remøy recently moved to take over Forland and both ships in its fleet, Forland Inspector and the Saltire.
