Gary Vogel joins Ship Finance International board

John Fredriksen’s Ship Finance International Limited has appointed Gary Vogel, the current chief executive of Eagle Bulk Shipping, to its board of directors.

Hans Petter Aas, chairman of Ship Finance International, commented: “We are very pleased that Mr. Vogel has accepted a directorship in Ship Finance. I am confident that his broad international background and experience both in the dry bulk market and the capital markets will make a good contribution to the continued growth and diversification of Ship Finance.”

Vogel, 50, has been in the CEO role at Eagle Bulk since September 2015, and prior to that he served as partner and group CEO at Clipper Group.

Ship Finance International also announced the delivery of 19,200 teu containership MSC Anna from Huyndai Heavy Industries, Korea. The vessel is chartered to MSC for a period of 15 years.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
