Gas leak halts production on FPSO Alvheim

The FPSO Alvheim is back operating normally today following a gas leak on Thursday morning.

The Det norske operated FPSO suffered a leak in its pump room, which stopped production on the Alvheim field in the central North Sea near the UK sector. The 56 crew remained onboard and stopped the leak, and there was no discharge into the sea, Det norske said.

Eight months ago the same FPSO had another production stoppage following an electrical fault on one of its motors.
