Great Eastern Shipping snaps up suezmax pair

India’s Great Eastern Shipping has announced the acquisition of a pair of secondhand suezmax crude tankers.

The 157,000 dwt vessels are built in 2010 and 2011, however the seller and price were not revealed by Great Eastern.

Delivery is expected in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Great Eastern has been rapidly expanding its fleet of late, having snapped up two aframaxes in November and a suezmax last week from Greece’s CM Lemos.
