Greek tanker owner Minos Kyriakou died of a heart attack, aged 75, over the weekend in Athens.
Kyriakou was the founder of the Athenian Group as well as being a significant owner of Greek media. He worked for his grandfather’s shipping company before founding Athenian in 1965, a company that today owns six VLCCs. He also went on to found Antenna, one of Greece’s most successful chain of radio and television channels.
