Handysize bulk carrier joins Dabinovic’s fleet

Dabinovic from Monaco has increased its fleet of bulk carriers with a modern new entry but has denied a deal rumoured this week. Broker sources reported that the Monaco-based shipping firm would purchase the handysize bulk carrier Orient Becrux from OMC Shipping of Singapore for a price in the region of $13m. Nevertheless sources close to the company deny this sale.

Instead a few weeks ago Dabinovic inked the purchase of the 2010-built Kamenari sold by Orient Marine for a price of $8.5m, according to VesselsValue.com.

Dabinovic dates back to the late 1970s when the Dabinovi family relocated their business interests from Switzerland to Monaco.

As of today the company’s fleet consists of six handysize bulkers and the new entry bought this year replacing the 1980-built vessel Braztrans 1 sold at the end of 2016.
