Shanghai: Nanjing Hengrui Shipping has ordered a 51,000 dwt bulker at domestic yard Nanjing Wujiazui Shipbuilding for delivery in 2014. The deal comes with one option. The ship will be deployed on domestic routes and the decision for a supramax comes as utilities in China are increasingly asking for larger ships to transport coal. Hengrui opted for a new fuel efficient vessel over a resale, due to the current low prices on offer at Chinese shipyards. [26/06/12]
