Hess extends Noble Corp semi-submersible contract

Noble Corporation semi-submersible rig Noble Paul Romano has been handed an extension by Hess for ongoing operations in the US Gulf of Mexico.

The rig was previously contracted by Hess in September 2016 through to October 2017 at a rate of $128,500 per day. Hess had since extended the contract through December at $115,000 per day and this latest extension will keep the rig operating through to the second quarter of 2018. The day rate will remain unchanged.

Noble Paul Romano was built by Ingalls Shipbuilding in 1981 and its most recent upgrade was in 2013.
