China’s HNA Investment is beneficial owner of Dorian LPG stake

China’s HNA Investment Management (IM) has been named in a SEC filing as the beneficial owner of the 5.8% stake in NYSE-listed Dorian LPG sold by Scorpio Tankers on July 22.

Scorpio sold its remaining 3,392,083 common shares to HNA IM’s subsidiary Sino Energy Holdings for a price of $16.16 per share or around $58.82m in total.

HNA IM is headquartered in New York and is part of China’s HNA group, which has assets valued at over RMB 450bn ($72.4bn) and 11 listed companies.
