Holländer named as CEO of MPC Capital

Hamburg: MPC Capital has promoted from within for its new CEO. The firm’s CFO, Ulf Holländer, has taken the reins from Dr Axel Schroeder who is switching to the supervisory board of the group parent.

Schroeder, who has led the company since it was founded in 1994 and has been CEO since the initial public offering in 2000, will eventually be named chairman, taking over from his father.

The new CFO will be Constantin Baack, who spearheaded the integration of MPC Capital’s shipping activities as managing director of new subsidiary, Ahrenkiel Steamship.

Holländer commented: “Over the past few years we have built a group whose structure now ticks all the boxes for long-term market success.”
