Hopes of finding crew alive from capsized barge fade

Singapore: Search and rescue teams in Singapore continued to hunt throughout the weekend for the eight missing eight crewmembers of the capsized Mongolian-flagged barge Guo Liang 677 with no luck. The barge had capsized on 24 July  in Singapore waters about seven nautical miles north of Horsburgh Lighthouse.

Divers recovered a body from the barge yesterday and the barge's owners have made arrangements to send the body to Malaysia. The barge is owned by Gold Stone Marine, a company based in Johor, Malaysia.  [29/07/13]
