Host of shipping-related creditors linked to bust Noranda Aluminum

A host of maritime-related firms in America have been listed as creditors to Noranda Aluminum, which has filed for restructuring this week.

Mid-Ship Group, Associated Terminals, American River Transportation and Donjon Marine are all listed among the bust firm’s top 30 creditors.

Noranda president and CEO Kip Smith said: “In light of the challenging market conditions for the aluminum industry and the recent disruptions in our primary business operations, the board and management team, with the support of our principal lenders, determined that undertaking this court-supervised process is in the best interests of Noranda and its stakeholders.”
