Interest in Davao hots up

 

Manila: International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) and Asian Terminals, Inc. (ATI) are likely to complete for the contract to develop Sasa Wharf in Davao City in the far south of the Philippines.

The auction for the concession of the facility will be held by June.

Sasa Wharf a berth measuring 920 m long and a 48,848 sq m container yard.

Davao is the nation’s second largest city in area terms and is increasingly positioning itself as a trade conduit to Malaysia and Indonesia.  [01/02/13]
