Shanghai: CSC Jinling Shipyard has won an order for six 6,700 unit car carriers from Bermuda-headquartered Global Carcarriers.
Delivery is from 2014 and the ships will be chartered out to an undisclosed Norwegian owner.
The order marks the largest car carriers (PCTC – Pure Car/Truck Carrier) to be built in China to date.
