Our client, a global player for offshore energy facilities and services is currently on the lookout for a Senior Manager to lead the Asset Integrity department for their office in Kuala

Major Responsibility Areas

  • Lead multi-disciplined engineering/inspection disciplines involving date gathering, data analysis and decision making to provide scalable, optimization of inspection programs. Manage results collation from inspections, analysis of results; endorse modified inspection schedules based on RBI methodologies
  • Providing input to and participating in the development of integrity management strategies
  • Asset life-cycle management – scheduling, resource (cost, discipline, duration, facilitation, approvals, task recommendation and migration to CMMS). Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshop sessions to develop equipment strategies based on RBI and RCM methodologies, Class & Statutory requirements
  • Management of and to maintain the asset in a fit-for-service condition while extending its remaining life in the most reliable, safe, and cost-effective manner
  • Reporting of asset performance, condition & assurance activities in technical integrity area
  • Management via performance against monthly KPIs, annual & 5 yearly integrity/reliability plans
  • Carrying out failure and risk analyses through performing FMECA to understand and manage the risk of each asset for the asset life cycle
  • Establish and/or review corrosion inspection activities defined online and during shutdown
  • Provide technical SME supporting multidiscipline team on issue resolution. Regular interface with OIM/FM and maintenance/operations specialist personnel
  • Influence annual, 5 yearly asset integrity plans based on RBI/RCM. Leverage off CMP as per Corporate philosophy
  • Dissemination of integrity programs to key stake holders, influencing turnaround schedules and base inspection requirements. Oversee the management of external resources including service agreements and approved contractors in consultation with the General Manager and where required, Operations Managers. This includes the FM and NDT contracts
  • Hands-on leadership role in the execution of field activities, opportunity utilization to mentor local content subordinate engineering & technical staff, operations & maintenance personnel.
  • Manage compliance with all Class, Statutory, and Corporate standards
  • Develop asset verification procedures and processes to provide assurance on asset integrity against Class requirements and company and contractual asset integrity related KPIs, whilst providing input to and participating in the development of integrity management strategies
  • Manage the verification programme/plan and in doing so, liaise with the Unit Operations Managers in relation to any verification anomalies and Class observations and conditions
  • Ownership of the deployment, maintenance and continuous improvement of integrity and reliability opportunity process. Identify, prioritize, and scope improvement opportunities based on volumetric downtime data, bad actor programs, and facility higher priority integrity issues. Liaise as required in this respect with the General manager and Operations Managers
  • Produce an Annual Asset Integrity Management report
  • Manage the development of annual health check reports across all equipment classes
  • Manage annual integrity program implementation, including Class; annual, intermediate, special periodic, continuous and in-line surveys
  • Participate in Integrity Management Audits as required

Indicate FPSO responsibilities.

  • Provide engineering support, including participation in RCFA, TRA, TWI and other expertise related to asset risk management

Indicate budget/revenue responsibility.

  • Planning and budgeting responsibilities for all static equipment. This includes, but not limited to pressure piping, vessels, tanks, structures

Qualification/ Experience

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Materials/Mechanical/Corrosion engineering or equivalent, and preferably with an MSc in Asset Integrity management or other related engineering discipline
  • Minimum 15 years post graduate industry experience in an Asset Integrity Engineering role within the Oil & Gas industry demonstrating experience of technical integrity, corrosion management and the execution of inspection programs on onshore and offshore installations, including refinery or similar
  • Sound knowledge of asset risk management having held senior leadership roles in the development, implementation, and execution of RBI/RCM methodologies and practices
  • Knowledge of onshore and offshore legislation(s) and Class legislations advantageous
  • SME in corrosion management, materials selection and welding preferred
  • Good financial budgeting and planning skills, developing annual and 5 yearly projections
  • Strong safety culture with demonstrated ability to influence outcomes of integrity programs
  • Effective mentoring skills to facilitate knowledge transfer for local content opportunities
