Our client is seeking an Assistant Port Engineer to assist in project planning, management and maintenance of their fleet. This position works with the Port Engineer in determining priorities and clear action plan to deliver and ensure the fleet is operated, repaired and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements, best practices, company standards and customer expectations. In the absence of the Port Engineer, the Assistant Port Engineer acts on his/her behalf.
Our client requires: a Bachelor's degree preferred or work equivalent experience. Three years of experience in related supervisory roles, USCG Chief Engineer's License Limited Tonnage, valid Transportation Workers Identification Credential, driver's license and certifications from marine diesel manufacturer schools preferred. Candidate will be subject to pre-employment physical including drug testing and background investigation. Must be willing and available for duty at such hours, day or night as may be required in order to maintain continuous operations.
