Position Summary:
Manages all aspect of Specialty Marine Projects for the Fleet, within Marine Operations. The role will support the fleet of 20 plus vessels with day to day technical support, emergencies and projects implementation as required.

Career snapshot:.
Responsible for providing technical support, tracking changes, and reporting projects status of the systems on a regular basis to management.
Research & development for obsolete technologies with alternative solutions, develop cost benefit analysis.
Review of fleet by class of vessel as well as for all new build vessels.
Reviews all dry-docks technical projects within Facilities.
Assess shipboard technical crew skill set in each of the field required, develop training program and certifications in conjunction with our hiring partners and HR department and implement as required in view of ensuring proper & efficient repair methods are used.
Leads all technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring on time, on budget delivery of project outputs.
Close communication with Marine Operations to ensure flawless project implementations.
Lead key fleet objectives such as fuel savings and workplace safety.
Develop and implement processes to ensure quality of execution of project implementation.


Bachelor degree in Marine Engineering required, with a concentration in Project Management or equivalent experience
2-7 years of experience working on large complex maritime projects.
Relevant experience as Marine Engineer or Naval Architect is a must, with a shipping company, classification society or similar.
Must be well versed in areas of Maritime Engineering and be familiar with various operating systems onboard (HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Engine etc)
Must have excellent interpersonal skills, with strong organizational & analytical skills as well as very good computer modeling skills
Strong working knowledge of regulations governing the Marine industry under IMO, such as ISM, SOLAS / LR, USPH, SIRE, and understand how to access information when required.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, MS Project or equivalent, PowerPoint, and CAD
Must possess great communication skills, with all levels of the organization.

Ability to travel, up to 10% of time, including domestic and international
Prior experience as a Second Engineer or Naval Architect.
