Our client is an international fast growing 3PL company supported with strong network in Asia, Europe, North & South America regions.

 

Reporting to the Global Vice President of Retail & Consumer Products, the Regional Sales Director, Retail & Consumer Products will be responsible in developing new business and delivering the sales budget for the retail & consumer products vertical. The Regional Sales Director will be responsible to lead and support strategic initiatives across the regions in line with corporate initiatives to meet the overall company objectives.

 

The role

  • Identify, target, and establish new business relationships with multi-regional retail & consumer products companies
  • Develop and implement a strategy to increase business with each assigned target account
  • Plan, set and conduct face-to-face meetings with customers at all levels within their organization to learn about their business, logistics objectives, and challenges
  • Develop and present solutions that solve logistics challenges for each of your target customers that will reduce overall logistics costs and improve efficiencies
  • Maintain customer relationships and engagement throughout the sales cycle including implementation and post contract to encourage contract renewal and/or extension, or issuance of a new RFP
  • Communicate on customer and competitive developments that relate to assigned sales targets and/or the retail & consumer products industry
  • Achieve and maintain the data integrity of assigned accounts according to the established processes, which include updating of the CRM (Salesforce); pipeline/opportunity data, customer profile information, and activities
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in local trade, professional and civic associations as a representative of the company; reviews professional publications’ establishes networks

 

The requirement

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales and/or account management; preferably within the retail and/or consumer products industries
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, and/or International Business in logistics sales and/or supply chain management
  • Possess strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills in English and local language(s) to effectively communicate and interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Possess a university degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to travel 50%+
  • Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with various global cultures
  • Sound analytical skills and proven research methodology required to prospect and qualify leads successfully
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with a level of professionalism and integrity
  • Computer skills using MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
  • Prefer position to be located in Hong Kong, Shanghai, or Singapore however will be flexible if necessary with the best candidate
