Our client is a well known OE Manufacturer for automotive aftermarket parts. After many successful placements in the region, Direct Search Asia has been assigned exclusively to conduct a search for two Sales Engineers to be based at their Vietnam office in Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi.

Position Summary:

This role is responsible to drive the company's Automotive Aftermarket on 2 wheelers sales. Also required to implement programs and promotion by developing sales action plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive Sales strategy to achieve sales goals and revenues
  • Search for new customers
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements
  • Negotiate and close sales by agreeing to terms and conditions
  • Offer after-sales support
  • Meet regular sales targets
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
  • Co-ordinate sales projects
  • Support marketing by attending tradeshows, conferences and other marketing events
  • Provide market intelligence and information
  • Compliance and cooperation policy like HSE laws and regulations and HR code of conducts


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Works closely with the Regional Sales & Marketing Manager, Product Manager, Assistant Marketing Manager, Sales Support Manager and Customer Service Representatives


Overseas travel will be required 1 to 2 times a year for regional meetings besides the regular business meetings. Expect to spend at least 60% of your time visiting the direct and in-direct customers to have better customer insights and implement effective sales plans. Some weekend travel may be required for marketing events.


  • Require a formal Diploma certification preferably in Business or Marketing or equivalent experience (at least progressively responsible positions demonstrating ability to handle this assignment)
  • 3-5 years sales and marketing experience, including sales experience in automotive spare parts distribution sales
  • Competencies includes organization and planning, problem analysis and problem solving, adaptability, team leadership, judgment, decision-making and stress tolerance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English language. Verbal in local dialects
  • Good knowledge in MS Office
  • Strong presentation skills and be able to work independently and multi-tasking
  • Problem solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information
  • Experience in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies
  • Must possess the ability to write detailed business plans, design and conduct training seminars and make presentations
  • Works well with people, effectively handles conflict and demonstrates flexibility in work style to accommodate changing priorities and fixed deadlines
  • Good contacts with AOE car companies is an advantage
  • Possess own vehicle with valid driving license
