Vice President of Sales - Pacific North West

The Vice President of Sales directs the sales and business development activities for the company.  The Vice President of Sales will work with the company’s leadership to promote a broad spectrum of services focusing on break bulk and project cargoes. We are looking for a sales minded professional with operational know-how  who is connected with the break bulk markets.

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Ability to develop and improve business relationship with existing and new customers
  • Experience selling freight handling services to the break bulk industry
  • Ability to analyze data and identify business opportunities for the company
  • Ability to prepare competitive and profitable quotes for a variety of cargo operations
  • Operational experience and knowledge of break bulk industry, lumber, autos, and bulk cargoes
  • Ability to prepare and present sales material required
  • Knowledge of import / export / domestic logistics is required
  • Ability to manage and support customer service functions
  • 5+ years of related sales and business development experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • University degree in related field
  • 5+ years of experience selling logistics and freight handling services
  • Great network of cargo interests
  • Previous stevedoring operations experience
  • Outgoing personality and an interest in operations
