Lanhai rings the changes at China Shipping Haisheng

Shanghai: Shanghai-listed China Shipping Haisheng has announced that several board members of the company, including the president Huang Xiaowen, have resigned from the company. Meanwhile, a new group of directors, led by Mi Chunlei, the controlling shareholder of the multi-sector Lanhai Group which is the new controller of China Shipping Haisheng, have joined the company.

Lanhai Group took control of China Shipping Haisheng through its subsidiary Lanhai Shangshou in June by acquiring 14.11% equity of the company. The state-owned bulk and chemical shipping company will become a private asset-dominated company when the deal is completed.

Lanhai Group is multi-sector group which has businesses in insurance, real estate, energy, medical and infrastructure development, and plans to help China Shipping Haisheng transform to embrace emerging sectors.
