Guangzhou: In a board meeting of Guangzhou Shipbuilding International (GSI) held yesterday, Mr. Chen Jingqi has decided to resign from his position of the president of GSI citing his age. Meanwhile, the board has elected Yu Baoshan as the new president of the company.
The 53-year-old Yu Baoshan joined Guangzhou Shipyard in 1978, had served as general manager of Guangzhou State Shipbuilding Co and president of Guangzhou Longxue Shipyard. Now he also serves as the assistant general manager of CSSC Group.
The board also appointed the chief accountant of the company, Chen Qiuping, as secretary of the board.[24/08/12]
