Lomar back at Wenchong for more boxships

Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard, part of state-run shipbuilding group CSSC, has won an order to build a pair of 2,700 teu boxships for the UK’s Lomar Shipping. The ships will deliver in 2018.

The design is a wide beam one and comes with the capability to carry up to 600 reefers.

Lomar is familiar with Wenchong, a small boxship specialised builder, having ordered six 2,200 teu ships there last year, half of which have already delivered.
