Lomar in for more boxships

Sources report that London-based Lomar Shipping is continuing its fleet expansion in the secondhand market.

Earlier this year the company picked up a handysize containership.

This week sources say Lomar has snapped up the two small 496 teu capacity ships, ER Helgoland and ER Cuxhaven, for $3.8 m each from Germany’s ER Schiffahrt.

Lomar is approaching 60 boxships according to its website.
