Macquarie forms London financing venture

Macquarie Specialised Investment Solutions (MSIS) has established a UK business to arrange export credit agency (ECA) financing for newbuilds.

MSIS said there was plenty of scope for its new London business as “many traditional lenders have retreated from the shipping sector in recent years”.

MSIS has poached two former Citi executives to run the business, Guido Musso and Davide Alessandrini.
