Today marks the official launch of the Maritime CEO Forum. To be held at the Fullerton Hotel in Singapore on March 15, the event will bring together some of the biggest names in shipowning and shipmanagement for what the organisers – the parent of this site – describe as ‘the ultimate anti-shipping conference’.
While many event organisers claim to bring together big names for their shows the Maritime CEO Forum can legitimately describe its get together as a who’s who of world shipping featuring two of the world’s largest shipmanagers and a host of the best known names in shipowning with more to confirm soon.
The half-day event is split into four sessions looking at dry bulk, tankers, vessel efficiency as well as HR and crewing issues.
Confirmed speakers include:
Bjørn Højgaard, CEO, Anglo-Eastern Univan Group
James Marshall, CEO, Berge Bulk
Martin Cresswell, Fleet Director, The China Navigation Company
Mark Charman, CEO, Faststream Recruitment
Sam Chambers, Editor, Maritime CEO
Nick Fisher, CEO, Masterbulk
Michael Nagler, Head of Chartering, Noble Group
Pankaj Khanna, CEO, Pioneer Marine
Warwick Norman, CEO, RightShip
Clive Richardson, CEO, V.Group
Tim Huxley, CEO, Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings
Commented Maritime CEO editor, Sam Chambers: “The idea with the forum is building on our series of lunches and breakfasts over the past four years. We aim to make any event we put on as informal, interactive and interesting as possible. The industry is rightly fed up with the staid nature of conferences these days. We promise no set speeches, no power points – just pure insight and wisdom from the top names in the industry.”
Booked sponsors for this unique shipowner gathering include Anglo-Eastern Univan Group, DVB Bank, FCM Marine & Energy, RightShip, Rustibus, Transas, Unimarine Lubricants, Veritas Petroleum Services and V.Ships.
After the event, drinks will take place at the Post Bar, the Fullerton’s great watering hole.
The Maritime CEO Forum is an annual event which will move around the world. 2017’s destination will be announced shortly.
