Mass exodus at Brightoil’s Singapore ops continues

Singapore: The mass exodus at bunker trader Brighoil Petroleum’s Singapore operations continues with Reuters reporting that its head of global head of trading, Quek Chin Thean has resigned. Quek is also the chief executive of Brightoil’s Singapore office. Previously he was the head of fuel trading at BP and was one of around 20 staff who jumped ship to Brightoil in 2010. Quek is the sixth executive to have quit Brightoil since June, according to Reuters. He is also the most senior to have departed so far. Its Hong Kong-listed vehicle has warned of “significant” losses this year.  [22/11/12]
