McDermott International wins subsea tieback contract from Hess

Houston-based oil industry service company McDermott International has earned a contract with New York-based independent energy company Hess Corporation for subsea tieback work in the Gulf of Mexico.

The work will be at the Garden Banks 216 block in the Penn State Deep (PSD) field. It lies in a depth of about 1,500 feet of water.

“This marks our first project with Hess Corporation in recent history and we look forward to providing industry best operational excellence, quality and safety,” said Scott Munro, VP for Americas, Europe and Africa at McDermott International.
