Singapore: Indan shipowner Mercator is expanding its dredging business with the acquisition of two dredgers, bringing its dredger fleet to nine.
The pair are both European built, one being a trailer suction hopper dredger and the other a bucket ladder dredger.
Mercator said that both would be commissioned around the first week of September, and that the dredgers will enhance its ability to service Inda’s ports as well as the Indian Navy.
