Metrostar Management orders two aframax tankers at Daehan

Greek owner Metrostar Management has placed orders for two aframax tankers at South Korean yard Daehan Shipbuilding.

It is Metrostar’s first newbuild order since January 2015.

According to brokers reports, the Greek company ordered the two 114,000dwt tankers at $43m each. Delivery is scheduled in 2018.

In February, Metrostar sold two newbuild VLCCs at Hyundai Heavy Industry to Olympic Shipping en bloc at a price of $81m each.
