Mosvold Shipping orders capesize pair at Yangzijiang Shipbuilding

Norwegian owner Mosvold Shipping has placed an order for two 180,000 dwt capesize bulk carriers, with two additional options, at China’s Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding.

According to the latest Clarkson report, the vessels will be built at Yangzijiang’s New Yangzi yard with deliveries scheduled for 2019.

Mosvold Shipping is led by Norwegian shipping veteran Roy Mosvold. The latest deal marks the shipowner’s re-entry into the bulk shipping sector following the company suspending dry bulk operations and shutting down its Hamburg office in 2016.
