Myrvoll to step down at Rem Offshore

Arild Myrvoll has reached an agreement with the board of Rem Offshore to resign as CEO in the company with immediate effect after the scheduled general meeting on October 10.

Myrvoll will be at the company’s disposal until the merger between Rem Offshore and Solstad Offshore is final in order to facilitate the execution of the merger.

REM and Solstad agreed to merge at the end of July, the pair saying in a release at the time: “The merger is a necessary structural measure in today’s offshore service vessel market, which will enable the combined company to achieve significant synergies through more efficient operations and a lower cost base.”
