NACC in talks with Ningbo Xinle for cement carriers

Nova Algoma Cement Carriers (NACC), a 50/50 joint venture between Algoma Central Corporation and Nova Marine Holding, is in negotiations with China’s Ningbo Xinle Shipbuilding for a pair of 7,500 dwt cement carriers.

A source close to the matter told Splash that the negotiation is still ongoing and the deal has not been signed yet.

The vessels will be equipped with dual fuel propulsion system.

NACC currently operates nine cement carriers in its fleet. Its latest vessel, NACC Capri, was delivered by Ningbo Xinle Shipbuilding in November.
