Nanjing Shenghang Shipping acquires chemical tanker

Chinese domestic tanker owner Nanjing Shenghang Shipping has announced the acquisition of 4,345 dwt secondhand chemical tanker Bao Feng Xiang from Nantong Gangzha Shipping Manufacturing for RMB52.8m ($7.76m).

Shenghang Shipping said the acquisition would further expand the company’s fleet to meet the growing business demand.

The vessel is the third chemical tanker the company has acquired in 2017 following the acquisition of Yong Sheng Hua 7 and Yong Cheng 58 from Zhoushan Yongsheng Shipping and Zhoushan Yongcheng Shipping respectively.

Shenghang Shipping currently operates a fleet of 10 chemical tankers including seven ocean tankers and three river tankers.
