Navios Maritime Containers raises $30m for more ships

Navios Maritime Containers has raided $30m via a private placement of common shares, funds which it says it will use for vessel acquisitions.

Navios Maritime Holdings and Navios Maritime Partners have subscribed for $15m worth of the shares, taking their holding to around 39%.

The Navios spinoff has grown a fleet of 21 boxships at lightning speed since it kicked off last April when it acquired the 14-vessel fleet of Rickmers Maritime Trust.
