New CEO for Deep Sea Supply

Oslo: Oslo-listed Deep Sea Supply has appointed Jon Are Gummedal as its new CEO. Gummedal has worked with Deep Sea Supply since January last year as technical director with the responsibility of the technical management and crewing of the fleet operating worldwide.

Prior to this, he held a position as technical director in Wilson, managing a fleet of 86 vessels. He has more than 13 years of experience in the shipping industry,

“I am looking forward to continue working to improve our position in the market. We have a strong and motivated team, a modern fleet and a healthy balance sheet that is well prepared to face the current market
downturn,” Gummedal said.

The John Fredriksen-controlled Deep Sea Supply fleet of PSVs and AHTSs, operates in the North Sea spot market, West Africa, Mediterranean, Southeast Asia and Brazil.
