New CEO for Wood Group

UK-based energy services company Wood Group has appointed Robin Watson as chief executive officer effective January 1 2016 succeeding Bob Keiller who has decided to retire.

Ian Marchant, chairman of Wood Group, commented: “I would like to thank Bob for his significant contribution to the Group, both following the acquisition of PSN in 2010, and during his three years as CEO. The Group has made significant progress under Bob’s leadership and the board respects his decision to stand down at this time. Robin was identified as the stand out candidate to succeed Bob as part of our succession planning process, and we believe that his knowledge and experience will ensure an orderly transition. Robin has been with the Group since 2010, has more than 25 years’ oil & gas industry experience and his appointment provides important continuity for our people and customers.”

Watson is currently group chief operating officer and has served served on the board of Wood Group since 2013.
