Athens: John Costain has been named as the new CEO and CFO of NYSE-listed Knot Offshore Partners, effective June 1.
Outgoing CEO Arild Vik announced his decision to step down from his position on February 2; he leaves to “pursue other interests outside of the partnership”.
Costain will resign from his current position as a class III elected director on the partnership’s board to assume the new role.
He will be replaced on the board until the annual meeting of unitholders in 2016 by Simon Bird, who has been chief executive of Bristol Port Company since 2000.
Bird is also a director of Bristol Bulk Company, chairman of UK Major Ports Group, a vice-chairman of Maritime UK and a member of the Strategic Advisory Group of the Royal Navy.
