Oslo: Eidesvik has been awarded a contract for 19 months with up to four options for an additional 6 months with Chevron UK for the PSV Viking Princess.
The vessel will be delivered to Chevron towards the end of June, and has been trading in the North Sea spot market for the past months.
The contract comes as good news for the offshore owner who only a couple weeks ago told local newspaper Sunnhordland that up to 80 staff have left the company due to Viking Fighter and Viking Dynamic being laid up.
