New Dorian VLGC delivered, starts timecharter to Shell

Athens: Dorian LPG has taken delivery of its latest VLGC, which will commence a one-year timecharter to Shell via the Helios LPG pool.

The ship, Cobra (84,000 cbm, built 2015), has been fixed at a rate of $2m per calendar month, commencing June 16, according to brokers’ reports.

The VLGC Corsair (84,000 cbm, built 2014) was previously reported to have been fixed on a three-year timecharter, also through the Helios pool. ExxonMobil has emerged as the charterer, having taken the vessel at a rate of $1.35m per calendar month, starting June 1.
