New Farstad CCO goes MIA

Oslo: Having announced in February that Finn Amund Norbye had been appointed to the role of chief commercial officer, Farstad Shipping has today said that Norbye has reconsidered, and declined the offer.

The former ceo of John Fredricksen’s Deep Sea Supply, Norbye first accepted the offer from Farstad to commence the new role in April.

In a release from Farstad, Norbye said: “Farstad Shipping gave me a very exciting offer. The opportunity to develop one of the world’s largest supply companies is exciting for everyone in our industry. However, after a comprehensive evaluation and discussions with my family, I have decided to decline the offer.”

Farstad Shipping added that they regret that Norbye has declined the offer, but respect his choice, and that “his duties will be taken care of and developed further by our skilled employees,” without clarifying whether the company would look to find another candidate for the role.
