Ningbo Port converts coal terminal

Ningbo Port is going to convert a coal terminal in the Beilun port area into a multipurpose terminal as China’s demand for coal dwindles.

The converted terminal will handle bulk, container and breakbulk cargo and coal operations will be moved to the coal terminals in Chuanshan port area.

Ningbo Port merged with Zhoushan Port in 2015 and Ningbo-Zhoushan Port handled 890m tons of cargo last year, ranking number one in the world.
