Ocean Installer awarded decommissioning work by Petronas

Norwegian subsea engineering service provider Ocean Installer has been awarded a contract by Petronas to assist in decommissioning the Chinguetti field off the coast of Mauritania in West Africa.

Ocean Installer will deploy construction support vessel  Normand Vision for the project. Offshore operations will commence in April, directly after Ocean Installer completes FPSO disconnection work for BW Offshore.

“We are proud of continously building backlog for the West Africa region. Furthermore, we are very pleased with securing our first award from Petronas, which gives us track record for an important client with its main assets in the Asia Pacific region,” said Ocean Installer CEO Steinar Riise.
