Omani Customs set for overhaul

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has embarked upon a modernisation of its Customs apparatus, whereby an Integrated Customs Management System will be introduced as well as a Single Electronic Window for the processing of goods entering the Sultanate.

The modernisation programme will be rolled out to cover the ROP’s Customs infrastructure nationwide, currently encompassing the country’s two international airports, six seaports, nine border crossings, and three free zones.  [17/04/13]
