Patricia Schulte struggling to find a buyer

The 2,800 teu, 10-year-old Patricia Schulte is struggling to find a buyer.

A spokesperson for South Korea’s KMTC has quashed speculation that his firm had taken the German ship on subs for around $8m.

This is the second time in recent weeks that the ship has been reported on subs, an indicator of the gloomy times for container shipping. Earlier Borealis Maritime had been linked with the vessel, which is owned by Hamburg-based Thomas Schulte Reederei.

With additional reporting by Jason Jiang and Sam Chambers.
