Pertamina ditches Coastal bid

Jakarta: Pertamina has ditched its bid for Houston’s oil and gas explorer, Coastal Energy. The Indonesian state giant cited the price tag as too dear.

Coastal Energy wholly owns two blocks in the Gulf of Thailand, according to the company’s website. It also operates the KBM cluster fields offshore Malaysia.  [22/11/12]
