Peter Evensen calls it a day at Teekay

Peter Evensen is stepping down from his role of president and CEO of Teekay Corporation, retiring after more than 13 years with the company.

Evensen will retire effective January 31, 2017 with Kenneth Hvid appointed as his replacement. Eversen will also retire from his positions at Teekay LNP Partners and Teekay Offshore Partners as well as all his board roles within the group, although he will take up an advisory role.

“It has been an honor and privilege to lead this company, and I am very confident that Kenneth Hvid is the right person to be my successor to lead Teekay into the next phase of its strategy,” Evensen said.

Hvid, 48, is currently serving as the President and CEO of Teekay Offshore Group and will be replaced in this role by Ingvild Sæther.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
