Petroleum Geo-Services boss Reinharsden retires

Jon Erik Reinhardsen, 60, has decided to retire from his role of president and CEO of offshore seismic firm Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS).

Reinhardsen will depart PGS on August 31 having served nearly 10 years with the Norwegian company, joining as CEO in April 2008.

Walter Qvam, chairperson of PGS, commented: “We are grateful for Jon Erik Reinhardsen’s strong and very capable leadership of PGS during 10 important years for the company. He has led the company through the challenging years of the financial crisis and recently the oil price fall.”

PGS says it has already initiated the process to find a successor.

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
