Phoenix back for more Qingshan handies

Shanghai: A Greek owner has ordered another four handysize bulk carriers in China. Phoenix Shipping & Trading has opted for four B.Delta43 designs at Qingshan Shipyard to go with the ten identical ships it has ordered at the same yard. The 189.99 m long, 43,000 dwt ships, designed by Deltamarin, have a cargo carrying capacity of 54,000 cu m.

In a release, Deltamarin, now owned by Chinese interests, said a total of 40 B.Delta ships and derivates have been delivered so far, for nine shipowners from six different shipyards in China.

No price was given for the latest Phoenix deal.

Phoenix is linked to Greek ship investment vehicle, Blue Wall.
