Shanghai: Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Ping An, one of the biggest insurance players in China has set up a shipping insurance operation centre in Shanghai on Wednesday, becoming the third dedicated shipping insurance unit in the city.
“The major business of our Shanghai insurance operation centre is to provide insurance products to shipping related clients, such as owners, yards, ship operators,” a spokesperson from the new Shanghai branch told SinoShip News. “Under the development plans of the Shanghai international financial hub, we chose to expand our business here,” she added.
